Revolutionize Your Tumbler World

I don't know about you, but when the world is in chaos like it is today, crafting and creativity help me "escape" from the craziness of everyday life. When I first discovered tumbler crafting, I was instantly hooked. It was the escape I was looking for! However, I struggled with the daunting task of prepping my tumblers, facing endless hours of sanding and stripping that drained my enthusiasm. Dreaming about my next tumbler design was being overshadowed by the laborious prep work, leaving me disheartened, with the looming threat of abandoning my craft altogether for something easier...

However, everything changed one day when I discovered Cover All. You see, my friend Dorinda owns a paint and coatings company and she's an avid crafter herself. Her Dad, Derek, started the company many years ago and taught her everything he knew as a paint & coatings Chemist with 60+ years of experience. Together they developed and sold high-end wood finishes for everything from furniture to musical instruments. When she took over the company about 8 years ago, she decided to combine her scientific knowledge with her love for crafting. She developed the first water-based, non-toxic tumbler top coat in the world, with a 2 hour dry time. She then started experimenting with decorative coatings like metallics, adhesives and paints for crafting. These products are all safe alternatives to the mainstream products like epoxy, and were designed to all work perfectly together. However, after all that, there was still something missing...

Prep. We needed something for prep. Tumbler prep sucks! I hate it and I'm sure you do, too. Most crafters set a day aside to sand or strip their tumblers. Many crafters I know deal with joint issues and sanding is a "no-go" for them. Many others (myself included) didn't want to deal with harsh chemicals to strip the tumblers. That's why Dorinda developed Cover All. It's an absolute game-changer in my crafting arsenal and I know it will be in yours! Its ability to adhere seamlessly to the factory coating, coupled with its user-friendly application, breathed new life into my designs. It even works over previous designs like sublimations and is compatible with epoxy! Eliminating the hassles of prep was nothing short of magical. I mean, who knew that prep could actually be fun?!

The First of It's Kind.

  • Breathe a Sigh of Relief: Formulated with you in mind, Cover All is non-toxic, eco-friendly, and doesn't require any PPE or ventilation to use. Heck, you can apply it right on your kitchen counter!
  • Easy Cleanup: All you need is a little water and a wipe, no harsh chemicals necessary. (Just make sure you get it off quickly, because it's designed to stick!)

How Does it Work?

  • Roll the Bottle: No mixing required, just give the bottle a quick roll. Don't shake or you could introduce unnecessary bubbles.
  • Choose Your Brush: Use your favorite soft bristled brush. You could technically use your hand, but I don't recommend it.
  • Apply with Ease: Find a technique you like or copy mine! No matter what you do, Cover All will self-level and cover any happy accidents.
  • Wait: Go watch a show or decorate another tumbler you already prepped. I recommend a second coat of Cover All after 2 hours to fill in any spots you may have missed. After the second coat is dry, start decorating!

Tumblers prepped

(Every day, about 100 tumblers get prepped with Cover All)

Why Do So Many Crafters Love This

‘Amazing Prep Product’?

"It's a really cool product, super easy to use. It's non-toxic! I think this product is ideal for finishes like a powder coated cup with a color that you want to use in part of your design, and you don't want to ruin the color by sanding it. This is a great way to prep those finishes without messing with them or leaving any kind of marks. So it's awesome for that or for people who don't want to sand to prep! I think that's what I'm going to be doing with most of my cups now moving forward."

"I’ve been making tumblers for several years. In the last 2-3 years I’ve had a standing order of 25 tumblers per month for a client. They are always the same design. It’s a pain to sand and prep 25+ tumblers at a time. As soon as I received the Cover All from the pre-order I applied it to a dozen stainless 20oz skinny MakerFlo tumblers. It’s a little different feel to apply however it goes on very well and very smooth. It leveled out nicely on the turner and I probably could have done one coat but did two just in case. It really took just a small amount and I wanted to ensure I didn’t miss one spot. Not gonna lie, not sanding/prepping the traditional way gave me a lot of anxiety! Once they were ready I started applying the base coat of Black Gloss. It went on so smooth! These two items worked really well together.

Next I tried it on a 24oz pre-prepped tumbler from TSM. I’ve gone through cases of these and I’ve always had to scuff up the white gloss paint because it repelled everything from Glitter Glue, Flip-n Awesome Paint, Brite Tone, Grand Finale and even products from other suppliers. I did not sand or scuff the tumbler first and went right in with the Cover All. At first it seemed like there were a couple spots that might repel but a couple more swipes with the brush and those spots filled right in. Again, this product leveled beautifully. Did a second coat (after two hours) and was very impressed by the clear, smooth and level finish. It looked like a finished cup! I applied a coat of Glitter Glue, which also applied very well over the Cover All layers. The glitter layer seemed even more smooth and level than it does without the Cover All. There were no glue ‘streaks’ and the glitter was even over the entire cup.

I really am impressed with the Cover All product and want to try it over sublimation and glass next."

STILL GOT QUESTIONS? WE GOT YOU!

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to sand before using Cover All?

No! Sanding is the worst. That's why I made Cover All. No need to sand or strip! Just make sure you're starting with a clean surface, free from oils, waxes, and dust.

 Does it work with epoxy?

Yes! While Cover All is formulated for optimal compatibility with CrystaLac water-based products, it works great as a prep coat before using epoxy products on your tumbler. As always, when trying a new product, we recommend testing and practicing before using on your main project.

Can Cover All be used as a topcoat?

No, it's too soft for that. Cover All is designed to go on first, under your base paint, glitter glue, glitter, and final topcoat.

Are water-based products hard to use?

It's so easy! There's no mixing required, you can apply with ease and let the product level on its own.

Can I add glitter to Cover All?

No, Cover All adheres directly to the tumbler as a prep coat, allowing other adhesives to do their job. You will want to use a Glitter Glue to adhere and seal glitter to your tumbler designs.

Is Cover All food safe?

Yes, all of our tumbler products are FDA compliant, allowing you to use them on your tumblers for drink consumption. Cover All needs to be sealed with a topcoat, like our FDA compliant Grande' Finale 2.0 Tumbler Topcoat. Refer to the cure time instructions prior to use.

Will Cover All work over my design?

Short answer, yes. Cover All bonds to steel, metal, glass, acrylic, ceramic, plastic, wood, vinyl, sublimation, and powder coats. Always test it out, first.

Is Cover All kid and pet friendly?

Cover All is waterbased, non-toxic and uses our ultra-low VOC formula (less than 1% per gallon). It can be used indoors without any PPE or ventilation. As with any craft product, do not let children used unsupervised. Never ingest it or get it in your eyes.
